\n The Sunsail 404 catamaran is one of the bareboat models available for the whale shark migration flotilla in Belize in April 2016.<\/span>\n <\/span>\n\n\t\t\t\t <\/figcaption>\n <\/section>\n\t\t\n\n\n\n

Sunsail has teamed up with wind- and water-sports\ncompany Mauri Pro and the international shark\nand ray research initiative Global FinPrint to host a\nwhale shark migration flotilla in Belize from April 21\nto 30, 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

Diving and snorkeling along Belize\u2019s barrier reef, the secondlargest\ncoral reef system on Earth, are key activities of the\nflotilla, which will be conducted aboard a maximum of eight\nSunsail catamarans that set out from the company\u2019s base in\nPlacencia. A lead boat including a divemaster and marine scientist\nDemian Chapman, from Stony Brook University, is part\nof the adventure; families and groups are welcome to bareboat\nor hire a skipper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

The trip is set during the full moon, the ideal window for\nobserving whale sharks. One of the largest fish species, whale\nsharks can grow to the size of whales and feed primarily on\nplankton, making them harmless to humans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

Sunsail and Mauri Pro will run a contest for two people to be\nguests on board the lead boat, with flights for two provided by\nMauri Pro and accommodations provided by Sunsail.
